Jan MacWatters
​
Jan started her career as an interpreter for the US Army in Germany. After immigrating to the the United States, she studied modern languages at Eastern Oregon University, then taught Social Studies and German while continuing her studies.. In addition to working in the classroom and the library, Jan has worked as an IB coordinator and an instructional technologist She has worked in libraries in the US and Germany at every level including K-12 , career college and undergraduate level. After earning an additional Certificate in Copyright issues in Distance Education, Jan also taught online for several years and trained teachers to transfer from the regular to the online classroom. She is passionate about learning and considers the of teaching information literacy skills as the number one goal of education in the 21st Century.
